As we talked about last week, Microsoft is about to invest $10 billion into OpenAI, the founders of ChatGPT and DALL-E. Two very well known public AI projects based on new models.

We could read that students already are using ChatGPT to write their reports (cheat on their reports).

Could now be the time where AI and machine learning finally is getting pushed over the decades long hump?

Maybe now we will see how AI can help us treat cancer, beat climate change, stop poverty..

and create dank memes.

NVIDIA Fakes eye contact 👀

So in a somewhat scary video NVIDIA revealed that in their latest broadcasting software ("NVIDIA Broadcast"), two new features are added. One makes is possible to add some background/vignette to the video feed

That's nice

The other feature however, is a bit strange...?

It's called "Eye Contact" and if you have a decent enough graphics card, the software is able to make you always look into the camera, using "fancy AI".

According to NVIDIA it could be used by content creators that are reading from a script, and it would still look like they are talking to their audience.
